This fic has a prequel called 'Three Seconds', and is absolutely imperative that that one is read first.

It's set quite a while after the events of the prequel, and Quatre and presumably dead. Duo has ran off and cannot be found, while the three remaining ex-gundam pilots have all joined the Preventers and their relationships are as bad as it gets. Suddenly, they receive news of the rise of a new faction that seems to threaten the fragile peace.

I got teary after reading 'Three Seconds' and I just had to read it's sequel. 'The X-Faction' is looking to be quite an adventurous and action-packed fic, although things are moving pretty slowly in the first few parts. Of course, that's because the pilots have to rebuild their wavering trust in each other and some of the plot complications have to be explained. Right now, there's not a lot of action happening yet, but I'm pretty content with the romantic overtures. Things are kind of heated between the lovers, and I sense a little thing going on between Hirde and Wufei...

Post war, shounen ai, a little sci-fic, slight angst

I was pretty upset for a while after I read this fic because that's what this fic does: make readers cry. Yet, this is definitely one of my favourite song fics.

Heero is addicted to drugs which he can get easily at the parties his company organizes. Duo, his live-in lover, is upset at his addiction and the issue becomes something they argue about frequently because Heero insists that he is not addicted and he wants Duo to try it out as well. And Heero finally succeeds in persuading Duo into giving drugs a try before their marriage.

The fic paints a vivid picture of drug abuse and its consequences, and at the same time, draws another picture of a loving couple destroyed by drugs. And the ending, while distressing, is probably a very real picture of what could happen.

Due to his less than admirable activities, Duo is forced to become the manager for his school's lacrosse team to appease his principal. There, he meets Heero Yuy, star athlete who, I quote from the author herself, 'has the body of a god, and personality from hell'.

Their rivalry is really pretty bad, but I guess that's a good thing. At least they're not falling in love all of a sudden and then you see these little fluttering hearts all around. Nope, it's very apparent that the two of them are sworn enemies born to make each other miserable (well, to a certain degree) and they have the verbal sparring to prove it. Fret not though, because this is a 'enemies to lovers' fic. I like fics like that. There's also this really nice Quatre and Trowa subplot there, so fans of this pairing can have something to look forward to.

My only criticism on this fic is why didn't I notice this fic earlier. ^^;;

Not Relena friendly, some fusion with X-men, lime, OOC

One of my favourite arcs of all times. It's pretty long, so the plot is a little hard to sum up, but the main idea is that Heero seeks out Duo after the war for the purpose of pursing a relationship with him.

My absolute fave parts are 'Crosspaths' and 'Junk'. The former is the part where Heero finally finds Duo, and the interesting thing about this part is Duo's thoughts. He is hilarious with his imagination, yet at the same time, totally distressing with what he misses in his life. 'Junk' is longer, and it explores their relationship through many events. Heero tries to be loving towards Duo, but he misses out on quite a few important things. Likewise, Duo tries to change himself for Heero's sake, but in the process, manages to make himself utterly miserable. Their relationship is realistically portrayed; not overly romantic and still have a measure of gentleness.

Probably one of the longest fics around, and still going strong. It's set in England, around the 1800s, and a great portion of the fic takes place in Bridlewood Manor, the mansion Relena inherits when her father dies. Heero sneaks in as the butler under orders, and he quickly becomes the object of Relena's unwanted affections. Soon, the rest of the boys join in and uncover a devious plot and organization.

It's difficult to talk about the plot because it's very complicated and long, and there's quite a few subplots lying around too. But still, it's easy to tell that the fic is very detailed and characterization is plain excellent. Relationships that do build up develops over a long period of time and as a result of many events, and that's one reason why the friendships and romance is pretty realistic. It's not one of those 'love at first sight and let's jump into bed' type of fic.

Somewhat a parody of 'Sleeping Beauty', casting Duo as the erm, sleeping beauty... baka, and Heero as the prince. Duo had been born into royalty, and a huge celebration had been held in his honour. However, a sorcerer claimed that he was not invited and so cursed baby Duo in a fit. Quatre, Trowa and Wufei are fairies, and in order to protect the young prince, they took Duo away with them to live in a forest.

My love for fairytales is probably what made me like this fic. It's romantic, it's humourous... what's there not to love? But how Duo ends up in a slumber is slightly different from the original, and I think this way is more of Duo's style. It's cuter. ^^ My main gripe about this fic is the ending. I thought it was a bit too sudden and some things were left unexplained. Then again, it probably works well for the... epilogue (I think that's what it is). Erm, you'll get what I mean if you read this fic.

Fusion with fairytale, AU, some OOC-ness, humour

'Blue Forest Banshee' (archived at Lev's Lair)

Duo is a banshee who's been chased out of his clan. He ends up at some organization that Quatre heads, and it's there that he meets Heero, Wufei and Trowa. All three wants his affections, but Duo is not yet ready to choose so readily.

Although the fic looks long, it's not. Almost every part is a short ficlet that explores more of Duo's life with the others. Rather like a multi-parter, each part of this fic is like episodes of a sit-com. And well, most parts are amusing. It's almost hilarious to see Trowa and Wufei fight for Duo's affections, and even funnier to see Heero's over-protectiveness.
